Software Release 3.2.2

Mimosa Networks has rolled out its highly anticipated Software Release 3.2.2, packed with performance enhancements and new features designed to improve network efficiency and user experience. Notable updates include the introduction of Mimosa's Proprietary Protocol (MPP), enabling improved device communication and ensuring more secure connections between Mimosa's management platform and devices.

New Features

  • Mimosa Proprietary Protocol (MPP): Protocol updated to MPP, requiring firmware compatibility with MMP versions newer than 1.3.1.
  • Current Channel Spectrum Analysis: Continuous spectrum analysis enabled on A6/C6x for the current operating channel.
  • Rate Training Algorithm: A6 can now display accurate PHY rates of wireless links, even without active data traffic.
  • Auto Channel Selection (Phase 1): Selects optimal bandwidth and primary channel (up to 160MHz) to reduce interference and enhance throughput. Disabled by default; suspends during site survey or manual spectrum analysis.
  • Automatic Transmit Power Control: Automatically adjusts uplink transmit power to improve link quality.
  • Rate Limiting on C6x: Allows rate-limiting of data traffic in uplink/downlink, adjustable from 0 to 1000 Mbps (0 blocks traffic in the configured direction).
  • MAC Address Forwarding Table: A6/C6x now display the L2 forwarding table, including MAC addresses, VLANs, and ingress ports, with a reset option and aging set to 180 seconds.
  • SFP Configuration & Status: DOM feature added for extended SFP module details.

Fixed Issues in PTMP

  • Fixed WebUI issue where stale client aging configurations failed to apply.
  • Stability improvements to prevent unintentional reboots and disassociations.
  • Resolved reconnection issue between C6x and A6 affecting MMP.
  • Corrected missing reboot event logs after devices are offline from MMP for over an hour.
  • Enhanced reboot reason diagnostics and uptime display accuracy for C6x.
  • Resolved SSID lock conflict when SSID is locked to NEID/BSSID.
  • GPS now correctly updates satellite counts.
  • Added 5150-5160 MHz to available channel configurations.
