A6

PTMP Access Point

Supercharged Wi-Fi 6E-Based Access

The A6 sets a new standard in efficiency, performance, capacity, and interference handling for unlicensed PTMP deployments. New features such as OFDMA, 1024-QAM, 8-stream beamforming, and support for up to 160 MHz of bandwidth, deliver huge leaps in reliability and performance for the unlicensed band.

PERFORMANCE

Speed and Capacity for Dense Markets and Crowded Towers

Compete with fiber speed offerings in both urban and rural tower sites with the A6. Wi-Fi 6E technologies offer unparalleled 60 bps/Hz spectral efficiency and high capacity 8x8 multi-user MIMO and OFDMA technologies, ensuring sufficient AP capacity to handle large populations at almost any rural tower location, or even in the most dense city urban environments.

INTERFERENCE

Reliable in Noisy Environments

Unlicensed bands usually have crowded spectrum in cities, and even at tower collocation sites in rural areas. The A6 brings an arsenal of new, advanced noise fighting techniques to make it easier than ever to overcome noisy conditions and deliver reliable services in unlicensed spectrum.

POWER

Improved Link Budget in a Small Form Factor

Whether it’s overcoming noise or punching through a bit more near-LOS foliage, who wouldn’t want an improved link-budget? The A6 introduces a series of new integrated antenna and baseband features to get over 10 dB signal improvement without needing to increase the device form-factor size.

FLEXIBILITY

Easy to Deploy

Small sites require complex and costly power and switching equipment between backhauls and APs. As new devices introduce higher speed 10 Gbps equipment, these costs are rapidly making site expansion too expensive for ISPs. The A6 is equipped with an internal switch and multiple integrated 10 Gbps SFP+ for easy interconnectivity without requiring an external switch. Dedicated 48 V DC power inputs remove the need for additional Ethernet runs when deploying fiber.

FAQ

How do I get an A6?

Simply contact your closest reseller or distributor.

How far will the A6 reach?

Depending on the environment and spectrum, the A6 is suitable for short to long range deployments.

Why should I get an A6 over an A5x, A5c, and A5?

The highest performance Wi-Fi 6E chip delivers 8x8 multi-user MIMO high spectral efficiency, low-latency OFDMA, noise reducing antenna beamforming, support for wider 160 MHz channels in the 6 GHz band, and more. The A6 can deliver up to 6 Gbps of capacity and provide gigabit subscriber speeds.

Does the A6 have beamforming?

The A6 has an integrated 24 dBi antenna with adaptive beamforming.

What client radios will work best with the A6?

The Wi-Fi 6E, 802.11ax-based C6x client radio will work best with the A6 to deliver gigabit subscriber speeds. For easy transition of existing Mimosa deployments, the C5x and C5c can be used in Wi-Fi interior mode.

Does the A6 have an internal antenna?

The A6 has an integrated 24 dBi antenna with adaptive beamforming.
