SANTA CLARA, CA - October 15, 2015 - Mimosa Networks, a cloud-managed gigabit wireless company, announced today that it won a total of seven prestigious industry awards, including the 2015 WISPA Manufacturer of the Year. The awards were announced at this year’s WISPAPALOOZA trade show sponsored by the Wireless Internet Service Providers Association (WISPA). In addition to “Manufacturer of the Year,” Mimosa won “Best User Interface,” “Best Functionality and Feature Set,” “Highest Capacity in 80+ MHz,” “Lowest Cost per Bit in 80+ MHz,” “Lowest Cost per Bit in 40 MHz,” and “Best Support.”

Mimosa dominated this year’s awards, which recognize the “best-of-the-best” in the wireless Internet service provider industry. The B5c won four of the categories, with a demonstrated capacity of nearly 1,400 Mbps, and the B5-Lite proved its value with the lowest cost/megabit in the industry at $0.42/Mbps. The testing was conducted in 20 MHz, 40 MHz and 80 MHz channels.

Brian Hinman, Mimosa President and CEO, said, “We could not be more proud to receive the honor for WISPA’s ‘Manufacturer of the Year.’ The award given for ‘wireless broadband accomplishments, excellent customer service and contributions to WISPA and its membership’ perfectly encapsulates our mission as a company thus far.”

The WISPAPALOOZA trade show marked an important milestone for Mimosa, since along with the accolades for its unlicensed backhaul radio products, the Company also used the venue to introduce its high performance and disruptively-priced B11 backhaul radio – the first licensed radio in its portfolio of point-to-point products.

WISPA is a membership-driven trade association that promotes the development, advancement and unity of the fixed wireless Internet service providers industry. WISPA has over 800 members that support WISPA’s advocacy, education and other collaborative industry initiatives.
