Apart from meeting customers and partners, one of the more fun aspects of my job is mingling with the industry’s newest and brightest entrepreneurs. Last week I traveled to the Red Herring Top 100 North America conference in Los Angeles to present on behalf of Mimosa, named as one of the finalists for the prestigious “Red Herring Top 100 North America 2017” Award.

The energy at the conference was amazing – startups in the fields of security, cloud computing, fintech, life sciences and mobile to name a few, participated in informative sessions and networking events. The most interesting aspect to me was the fact that Mimosa was one of a few hardware companies and the only company focused on improving our critical broadband infrastructure. And, the location – overlooking Marina del Rey harbor with views of Venice beach – could not have been better.

After the two days of presentations, we were invited to attend a special awards ceremony on the evening of June 14^th to announce the winners. Highlighting companies for their innovation and ability to capture explosive growth in the future, Red Herring received over 4,500 entrants. The comprehensive due diligence process companies go through measures against a variety of criteria including disruptive impact, proof of concept, financial performance, market footprint and management experience. I am excited to say Mimosa was selected as one of the winners for our role in reinventing internet access with our disruptive 5G Fixed Wireless solutions.
