Santa Clara, CA — [November 19, 2024] — Mimosa Networks, a leading provider of fixed wireless broadband solutions, is pleased to announce its official collaboration with Comsearch® for their Automated Frequency Coordination (AFC) services. This alliance enables Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) to register their Mimosa unlicensed 6GHz Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint devices with the Comsearch® AFC system, unlocking 850 MHz of 6 GHz spectrum for shared, Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certified use and enhancing quality of service and network performance.
By maximizing the large amount of available spectrum in the 6 GHz band, this solution allows outdoor unlicensed networks to deliver high-speed broadband access at optimal signal strength. It enables a range of high bandwidth use cases including multi-gigabit connectivity for large venues, IoT connectivity for industrial sites, high-speed municipal Wi-Fi deployments, and fixed wireless access for residential and business networks.
