Network Orbiter presented a requirement to establish connectivity between two locations separated by a staggering 158.4 km. Given the tough terrain and harsh environmental conditions, wireless UBR PTP was identified as the ideal solution. However, the significant distance posed an obstacle, requiring the use of industry-leading products capable of overcoming these challenges and delivering reliable performance.
After thorough research, the Mimosa B5x emerged as the ideal solution for its high capacity and long-distance capabilities. Using the Mimosa Link Design Tool (NDT), the B5x paired with a 32 dBi ALGcom outdoor antenna was selected for the project.
Over a remarkable link distance of 158.4 km, the solution delivered an impressive aggregate IP throughput of up to 489 Mbps, with a strong signal strength of -65.7 dBm.
