The Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program is a $42.45 billion U.S. government initiative aimed at closing the digital divide. Managed by the NTIA, BEAD provides funding to expand high-speed internet access to unserved and underserved communities—particularly in rural and remote areas where traditional infrastructure like fiber is often too costly or difficult to deploy.
For Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs), utilities, municipalities, and other broadband operators, BEAD represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to secure funding for future-ready networks. As states roll out subgrants, there's an urgent need for fast, scalable, and affordable broadband solutions—making Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) a smart and timely choice.
