B6x

PTP Backhaul

High Capacity, Extreme Speed, and Super Value

The Mimosa B6x is one of the industry’s fastest unlicensed backhaul solutions. It’s ideal for short to medium range relay and tower links, custom-engineered collocation, and unlicensed 5.15-6.4 GHz spectrum. It’s modular, with the ability to connect N5-X compatible twist on antennas (dish—not included). With the latest in Wi-Fi 6E OFDMA technologies, and access to new 6 GHz bands, the B6x achieves speeds of up to 3.4 Gbps and high reliability with new noise fighting features.

Flexible Design Meets the Needs for Many Deployments

As one of the highest capacity, unlicensed PTP solutions in the industry, it delivers up to 3.4 Gbps (IP). 320 MHz of aggregate channel capacity and GPS Sync mode provide added performance. Coupled with a rugged IP67 rating and modular twist-on antennas, the B6x is extremely flexible.

FAQ

Can the B6x base radio at 8 dBi be used without an antenna?

Yes. You can use the base B6x 8 dBi radio without an antenna for short distance links. Please remove the locking screw from the twist-on screws to serve as a drain hole.

What distances are supported for B6x links?

This depends on the antenna size and regulatory power settings. The B6x and all the X-series (N5-X) antenna options are available in Mimosa’s Network Design Tool (NDT). It’s free and very easy to model a PTP link, give it a try at: https://design.mimosa.co/designtool/ndt
