States such as Texas, Tennessee, and Vermont have already reported that satellite bids significantly outpaced fiber, both in number and in cost-effectiveness. Meanwhile, over 4 million unserved or underserved locations remain, but that number is shrinking quickly as final bids are submitted ahead of the September 4, 2025 deadline.
